Mohawk

Mrs. Verna E. Isaacson age 78, a resident of U.S. 41 Mohawk passed away Friday evening at the Calumet Public Hospital following a lengthy illness. The former Verna Hanninen was born on Dec. 23, 1914 in Mohawk a daughter of the late Elina and Daniel Hanninen and attended the Mohawk Public Schools and was a graduate of Calumet High School with the class of 1932. She was a life long resident of Mohawk except for a short time when lining in Waukegan, IL, Zion, IL, and White Pine. She was married to Elmer A. Isaacson on Sept. 16, 1993 in Laurium. She was a life long member of Bethany Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School and was a member of the LCW of the Church. She was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter Kristina, 1 sister, Lillian and 1 brother Raymond.
