Obituary for William Gary Apger

​William Gary Apger 56, a resident of Calumet passed away on Sunday August 2, 2015 after his battle with cancer. William was born in Detroit Michigan on March 16, 1959, he graduated from Baraga High School, and was employed by Pettibone in Baraga Michigan, as an entrepreneur he owned the Mid Way Bar in Kearsarge MI and was a member of the Michigan National Guard for 11 years.
​William was survived by his parents William E. Apger and Twila J. Apger also survived by his siblings: William Chapin; Kathy (James) Ekdahl; Kenneth Apger; David (Gwen) Apger; Dawn (Paul) Maki.; Laura (Jon) Klumpp, April Apger, Barbara Apger, Doug Apger. His children William (Kristen) Apger; Robert (Ashley) Apger; Jessica Apger (Ron Crouch); Twila Apger; Levi Apger; Quintin Apger. Grandchildren: Katilyn, William D, Guy, Nicholas, Annabelle; Samantha Apger; Mason Crouch. William was also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and many friends. Preceded in death were his Paternal Grandparents Earl and Ruth Apger; Maternal Grandparents Robert Sliwa and Barbara Harden, Maternal Grandparent Kenneth Harden and his brother Carl H. Chapin.
​Family services were held on Wednesday, 5 August 2015 per his request. Family gathered around a bonfire in celebration of his life. William was a loving and caring Son, Brother, Nephew, Father, Uncle and Grandfather to all. William shared his knowledge of his life experiences and his hobbies that he enjoyed with his entire family. William enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sports with his kids, he had a great knowledge in cooking especially his Spaghetti Dinners. William always made it enjoyable to be in his company by making everyone laugh and feel at home. William will be sorely missed with heavy hearts and remembered with happy hearts.
