Condolence From: Michael Bohl
Condolence: I just got done calling Pat's old phone number. Was surprised to hear someone else's voice answer. I met Pat during a fall sojourn into the Copper Country a few years back. He sold me some treasures, we swapped some great stories, and he was pleased when I told him my 13 year old daughter is a budding rock hound. He promised to take us out and teach her a few of his secrets if I could make it back up there the following summer. Sadly, I didn't make that trip. My wife and I just got done scheduling a time to get up there this summer and I called today to see if Pat would be willing to meet with us. I was looking forward to spending more time with him, and hoping to establish a better relationship with a man with amazing knowledge and a rich history. The failed phone call led me to an online search of his name, which led me to this page and a sad heart. I wish I could have gotten to know him better. I wish I could have gleaned a few more stories from him, and maybe shared in an adventure with him. I only met him for a few brief hours on a stunning fall day, but he made an impression. I was blessed to know him. My heart goes out to his family and friends, and I offer you my deepest condolences.
