Condolence From: Jacqueline Lowe
Condolence: I am so sorry to receive word today of Uncle Don's passing. I enjoyed a long phone conversation just a few days before he passed. I will always treasure that memory and conversation, we touched on family, heritage, politics, health and his passions. Talked about all the wood he needed to cut. I will treasure the memories we all made 3 summers ago. My heart breaks for all you family! Your husband, father, and grandfather was a man of many talents and trades that he enjoyed and shared with others. Give Grandma and Grandpa my love See you on the other side❤️

Condolence: To all our extended family up there: We are just crushed to hear this news. Don has always been close to my heart. His craftsmanship, artistry and inventive nature have inspired me in my chosen fields of mechanical engineering, toolmaking and machining. The stories of Don's capacity to make ANYTHING, and to make the things he needed to make anything, are beyond most people's capacity to even understand or believe. His dry, wry Finnish humor and wit, passion for preserving history, outlook on his world and community, and his love of family will be profoundly missed. His memory and inspiration will live on. There isn't much to be said to the family in times like these, other than "We understand." You are all in our hearts, thoughts and prayers, and if there is ANYTHING we can do you know where to find us. Love, Pete. . . .
