Laurium

Dominic (Nick) Quello, 77, of Laurium passed away early Tuesday afternoon at Houghton County Medical Care Facility where he had been a resident patient for the past 4 years.

He was born on Sept 8, 1915 in Laurium a son of Dominic and Lucia Quello and had attended the local schools of the area.

He had worked for the Commercial Steel Company of Detroit and later for Calumet and Hecla Mining Company for many years.

He retired from Benjamin Weider Company in Hancock.

He is well kown for his quitar playing with the GB Trio and other bands of the area.

He is a member of Sacred Heart Church of Calumet.
