Traprock Valley March 12, 2015
Marcia Gale (Kitti) Nichols, RN, 59, passed away on March 12, 2015 at her home in Traprock Valley, after fighting multiple illnesses for 15 years, and ultimately losing her battle to cancer. She was able to spend her last moments with her family by her side.
She was born on March 27, 1955 in Laurium, to her parents Ina and Walter Kitti. She attended and graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1973, and in 1975 she graduated with the first Nursing Class from Michigan Technological University.
She worked as an R.N. at Calumet Public Hospital, Houghton County Medical Care Facility, Marquette Medical Clinic, and she finished her career at The U.P. Regional Blood Bank in Hancock.
Marcia married the love of her life, Clifford James Nichols, on May 1, 1976. They were married for 38 years.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church of Dollar Bay, Houghton Baptist of Houghton, and Northpoint Church of Calumet. She was involved with all the churches she attended through the years, and touched many lives, by teaching Sunday School, opening her home to guests, and in many other ways as well.
She was a woman of faith and always put others before herself. She loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren and the ladies from The Knitting Circle. She also enjoyed berry picking, walking, and spending time worshiping her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by, her father Walter Kitti, and two brothers, Christopher and Mark Kitti.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff of Traprock Valley

Daughters: Kristen (Ken) Loescher of Ruther Glen, VA, and Erin Nichols of Calumet
Four grandchildren: Kayla, Kendall, and Kate Loescher and Wyatt Walker
Sister, Carole Kitti (Stan Horowitz) of Falls Church, VA
Brothers: Paul (Doris) Kitti of Marquette and Kurt (Kelly) Kitti of Traprock Valley
Special sister in law and care giver Donna.
And numerous aunts, nieces and nephews
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16th, at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet from 4 until 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church in Dollar Bay on Tuesday the 17th, at 11:00 am, with a visitation an hour prior to the service, Pastor Jerry Keranen will officiate.
A luncheon will be held in the basement of the church, following the service.
