Ruth Mae Amanda Frantti, age 87, passed away at her daughter Sara's home with her family by her side on Thursday, August 11, 2016.



Ruth was born on May 12, 1929 in Allouez, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Leonard & Alma (Dahlgren) Mukka. She was a graduate of Calumet High School. After high school, she attended Suomi College.



She was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet, Michigan.



On March 22, 1952, Ruth was united in marriage to Gordon Frantti. They were married for 63 years before Gordon died this past December.



Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son Ross Frantti; her granddaughter Aileen (Frantti) Harbidge; her brothers Ernest, Edwin, Raymond, Norman, Robert, Gordon, Harold and Roy Mukka; her sisters Irene Osmak, Eleanor Waara and Stella Mukka.



Surviving are her sons Bruce of Coos Bay OR, Donald of Las Vegas NV, Michael of Gwinn MI & Kalle (Sue) of Central Lake MI; her daughters Sara (Michael) Halt of Calumet MI & Margaret (Ed) Figueroa of Pleasant Prairie WI; twenty-five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.



A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the First Apostolic Lutheran Church in Calumet with Pastor David Taivalkoski officiating.



There will be a visitation at the Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet on Sunday from 4-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday.



Burial will take place at the Waasa Cemetery.
