Paul was a great man! I loved him dearly and I will miss him. Nobody I ever met loved Truth more than Paul. He was never trying to prove or disprove anything. He only wanted to find out what was true and acknowledge it as being true. He taught me so much about objectivity and the effort to look at the world with as little bias as possible. I knew Paul for 45 years and we had regular, long conversations. He was a preacher in his heart and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him "preach". Whatever subject we were discussing, it would invariably end up with Paul delivering a sermon on the subject to his congregation of one - me! And I always learned something valuable. His desire to preach and his ability to do it so well probably stemmed from his deep love and admiration for his father. He spoke glowingly and often about his father. He also felt a deep connection to hymns and sacred music. Paul's upbringing and his experiences growing up in a religious community were never forgotten and were a significant part of who he was. Paul's use of language and his sense of humor were a combination that provided hours upon hours of laughter for both of us. He tickled my funny bone like nobody else. I am so thankful that I knew Paul. His presence on this earth was a gift to all of us who had the privilege of getting to know him. Thank you, Paul!
