We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about James "Eli". All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.
I am sad to hear of the passing of Jim. He stayed with my family on Dalby Street in Redford Township, MI back in the 60's. He taught me how to play catch and was a lot of fun. My sister Kathy will also be saddened by this news. He would visit her in the past 5 years of so when he came down when he drove the bus bringing people to the baseball games. Also when he would visit his son. I remember his brother Paul also who was a policeman here in Detroit. I send my heart felt condolences to all of his family. He was a great and kind person and loved his hockey and had a great laugh and beautiful smile.

Our condolences to Eli’s family. His love for hockey was pure! When our oldest son traveled with the high school team downstate, he was our driver. Now our youngest is on the team, and I’ve visited with him more then once upstairs of the Colosseum. He rarely missed a practice. We will miss seeing him ❤️
