Obituary for Ronald Wayne Wilkins

Ronald W. Wilkins, 72, a resident of Calumet passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at UP Health System-Marquette.
He was born on December 27, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Margaret (Lindsey) Wilkins.
Following high school Ronald enlisted with the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.
Ronald worked for the City of Louisville as a Fleet Services mechanic, working on heavy equipment and Police cars.
Ronald loved to go camping with his family. While out on their camping trips you could find Ronald out fishing. He especially loved to bass fish.
He also enjoyed tinkering around house on different projects, and had a love of woodworking.
In 1968 he married Donna Wilmey in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was a life member of the VFW Post #1181 in Louisville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Wilkins, and his 2 sisters, Virginia and Donna Sue.
He is survived by:
His loving wife: Donna of Calumet
His son: Bob (Kimberley) Wilkins of Ahmeek
4 grandchildren: Jessica, Zachary, Johan, and Sabrina
2 brothers: James Edward Wilkins of California
John Thomas Wilkins of Kentucky
And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per Ronald’s request, cremation has taken place, and private services will be held at a later date.
