Obituary for Clara Kivela (Lehtola)
Clara E. Kivela, 85, a resident of Calumet passed away on Wednesday October 14, 2020 at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.
She was born on May 31, 1935 in Mohawk to John and Margaret (Larson) Lehtola.
She was married to Leo Kivela on August 20, 1955.
During her life she lived in Escanaba, Madison, Wisconsin, Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and L’anse.
After her husband passed away she moved back to the Copper Country.
She is survived by her brother, Ernest (Virginia) Lehtola of Elk River, Minnesota, her sister, Gloria (Dean) Korby of Mohawk, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Lehtola, her siblings, Hubert, Raymond, Wilhardt, Paul, Helen Anderson, and Mabel Olkkonen.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
