Obituary for Alan Dale Morin
Alan Dale Morin, 82, a resident of Calumet passed away on Saturday October 24, 2020 at his home.
He was born on December 06, 1937 in Chassell to Elmer and Ethel (Anderson) Morin. He attended school in Chassell and graduated from Chassell High School with the Class of 1957. Alan played on the 1955 and 1956 Chassell High championship basketball team that still holds the record for most consecutive wins.
Following high school in 1957, Alan enlisted and was a veteran of the United States Army.
In 1970, he moved to Arizona where he worked as a custodian for 25 years, moving back to the Copper Country in the late 1990’s.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Ethel Morin and his sisters Mary Kay Morin and Patricia Morin Hanshaw (the late Curtis).
He is survived by:
His sister Marilyn Morin Dove (the late John Dove) of Milwaukee, WI
his life partner Mamie Karpinen of Calumet, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.
A private graveside service will take place in the Chassell Township Cemetery.
