Obituary for June E Slattery (Erickson)
June (Erickson) Slattery, 87, a resident of Woodruff, Wisconsin and former Copper Country resident passed away at Milestone Senior Living on Sunday December 13, 2020.
June was born on June 23, 1933 in Painesdale, Michigan to Harold and Bertha (Hutula) Erickson. She attended the area grade schools and graduated from Calumet High School. Following high school, June attended the Lake Shore Technical Institute where she earned her LPN degree. She worked in Sheboygan at the St. Nicholas Hospital and later worked at Sunnyridge Nursing Home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
On March 15, 1954 she was united in marriage to Thomas Slattery in Crown Point, Indiana. Tom passed away on April 30, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bertha Erickson, her brothers, Gerald Erickson and William Erickson, and her husband, Thomas Slattery.
She is survived by her brother, Ronald (Della) Erickson of Woodruff, Wisconsin, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held in the spring of 2021 in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet.
