Obituary for Patricia Ann Fausone (Aubin)

Patricia Ann “Patsy” Fausone, 68, a resident of Calumet passed away at her home on February 23, 2021 with her husband & daughter by her side.
She was born on May 7, 1952 in Laurium to Charles and Katie (Zubiena) Aubin. She attended the local schools and graduated from Calumet High School with the Class of 1970. While in high school, Patsy and 3 of her friends started the girls' JROTC Drill Team program at Calumet High School.
Patsy loved to read. From a young age, she loved being grounded so she could be in her room reading. She was also very artistic and crafty. She was part of the “Sets Maniacs” years ago, who designed the sets for the Calumet Players. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting. She was an avid bowler for many years & especially loved her Tuesday night ladies league & was a huge Packer fan. She also played softball & baseball & some years back she & Joe along with friends were on a baseball team called "Miller's Killers". In her younger years she enjoyed going camping with her family & friends at "The Spot" & in later years with her husband Joe out at Sunset Bay and they named their camper “The Rolling Turd.” Every summer she & Joe would set up a pool in the backyard & enjoyed having the grandkids over to splash & swim, & usually would throw some pizzas on the grill. She also loved to go rummage sailing with Jodi every Spring & would always find some treasures for the kids.
She most recently worked for the senior meals program in Calumet up until 4 years ago when her health started to decline. She also worked many years at Columbia Linen, Very Video, Calumet Electronics, The Office Shop & Calumet Hardware.
She loved to spend time with her daughter Jodi & son in law Craig who was the son that she never had, but most importantly with her grandchildren who were the lights of her life! Even if she wasn't with them she was always thinking of them. She was the best Gram ever.
On May 12, 1973 she was united in marriage to Joseph Fausone at Sacred Heart Church.
They have been together for the last 50 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Calumet.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Katie Aubin, her father-in-law Attilio Fausone, brother-in-law Jerry Fausone, sister-in-law Judy Aubin, & dear friend Arlene Bykkonen.
She is survived by:

A memorial service will be held in the spring.

This is a poem that Patsy had written down in one of her notebooks:
The Angel's Name
Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. The child asked God, "they tell me you are sending me to Earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God replied "among the angels, ill choose one for you. Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child further inquired, " but tell me here, in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile and be happy."
God said "your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day and you will feel your Angel's love and be very happy."
Again the child asked, "how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said "your angel will tell you the most beautiful sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."
"I've heard that on Earth there are bad people. Who will protect me?" God said "your angel will defend you even if it means risking its own life."
At that moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God if I am to leave now, please tell me my Angel's name!" "Her name is not important, you will simply call her Grandma."
