Obituary for Diana Mae Hein (Lasanen)
Diana M. Hein, 89, a resident of Calumet passed away at her home on Tuesday morning December 13, 2022.
She was born on April 9, 1933 at the C&H Hospital in Calumet a daughter of the late Reuben and Mayme (Heikkinen) Lasanen.
Diana graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1950.
On November 1, 1952 she was united in marriage to Charles Hein and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2007.
Diana worked locally for C&H in the office and at Vertin Bros. Department Store. She was extensively involved with Campfire Girls in her younger years. She enjoyed square dancing and was active in her church St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Laurium.
Preceding her in death was her husband, and an infant brother Walter.
Surviving are: Daughter Cathy (Jim) Johnson of Laurium
Son: Steve (Allison) Hein of Laurium
Grandchildren: Adam (Jennifer) Johnson, Sarah (Carlos) Biaz, Daniel Hein, Matthew (Allie) Hein, Leah (Mathew) Willett.
Great Grandchildren: Mathew, Fletcher, Jax, Lucy, Kayleigh and Ellie
Brother in law: Robert (Carol) Hein of Ohio
Sister in law: Elizabeth Hein Johnson of Illinois

Funeral services will be held on Monday December 19, 2022 at 12 Noon at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Laurium with Pastor Bryan Lundquist to officiate.
Visitation will be at the church from 10 -12 Noon
The Erickson Crowley Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
