Laurium
Geraldine Blau, 98, a resident of Laurium passed away at her daughter’s home on June 25, 2014 under the care of Aspirus Hospice.
She was born on March 4, 1916 in Lake Linden a daughter of the late John and Diane (Massie) Rheaume.
She was married to Andrew Blau and he preceded her in death.
Geraldine was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet. She was also a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters Court 517. She enjoyed traveling, picking wild berries and catering weddings.
Preceding her in death was her parents, husband, brothers: Robert & Ransom Rheaume and 2 sisters: Marie Rheaume and Violet Josephson.
Surviving are: Daughter Beverly Clairmont of Laurium
Great Grandchildren: Cassandra Adams of Florida Location and Natasha Adams of Arizona
sisters and brothers: Katherine (Carl) Schmuhl, LeRoy (Gail) Rheaume, and Betty Jean Wilshire
Niece: Linda (Larry) LaHaie of Lake Linden; nephews: John Josephson of Linden, MI and Michael (Carrie) Josephson of Linden, MI;
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday July 3, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Sacred Heart Church in Calumet with Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.
Visitation will be at the church from 2-3 PM.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be given to the CLK Food Pantry.
A special thank you to the hospice staff for the wonderful care they gave Geraldine in the five months. The visits were great and Geraldine enjoyed seeing the workers and sometimes you could hear laughter in the house. Thank you to Dr. Michael Luoma and the nurses from Aspirus.
