Rachel F. Bramble, 79, a resident of Laurium, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015. She was born May 31, 1936, in Oconto , WI to Adrian G. & Cecilia (Wroblewski) Anderson. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Bramble on September 26, 1953 in Freeport, IL. The family lived in the Milwaukee and then Rockford areas until the 1980's when they moved north; eventually settling in the Copper Country.
Rachel enjoyed playing pool, crosstitch, genealogy, crossword puzzles, and going for drives. She was a superb cook and baker and worked for many years at Pat's IGA in Hancock and then Jim's Too in Houghton where her specialty was cake decorating. Rachel loved to travel, especially with her sisters, and niece. She was active in the Laurium Apostolic Lutheran Church and watched services on her computer when she was unable to attend in person.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, sister Barbara, brother Francis, twin brothers Patrick and Micheal, two grandsons, Daniel and Jacob, and her dog Brutus.
She is survived by daughters Susan (Jim) Norton of Land O' Lakes, WI and Theresa (Tom) Chobanian of Donken, MI; three sons Mark (Kathy) Bramble of Rockford, IL, John (Connie) Bramble of Calumet, MI, and Matt Bramble of Laurium, MI who spent the last 5 years as her caregiver; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer DuQuaine, Jessica (Kris) Eickhoff, Joshua (Raquel), Brian (Anita), Sean (Jamie), Elizabeth, Jill, James, Thomas Jr., and Erica (Chris) Nelson; 17 great grandchildren, Jacob, River, Adriana, Aliah, Hayley, Hayden, Noah, Daniel, Mercedes, Alex, Jacob, Devin, Reggie, Allie, Charlotte, Tommy, and baby girl Nelson due in October;
her Aunt Bernadine Krieg of Waco, Texas; sister Janet (Stan) Pfaff of Columbus, OH; her brother in law Terry of Richmond, IL;
as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday September 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Laurium Apostolic Lutheran Church with Pastor Rodney Johnson to officiate. Friends may call at the church in Saturday from 10-11:00 AM.
