Donald C. Brillhart, age 76, a resident of Calumet passed away on Monday November 16, 2015 peacefully at his home.
He was born on November 19, 1938 to Cecil and Nona (Macalom) Brillhart in Chicago, Illinois.
Donald attended Oak Park River Forest High School in Oak Park, Illinois graduating with the class of 1956. After attending high school he went on to earn his bachelors degree in metallurgical engineering, and his PhD in Philosophy.
He married his wife Diane Aalto on November 2, 1995 in Keweenaw County.
Together they owned and operated the White House Motel in Mohawk.
Donald loved to read, and along with his reading he was also able to learn new things. In his younger years, he loved to restore old cars, and he loved his corvettes. He was also an avid woodworker and cabinet maker.
Donald was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch boxing, baseball, and football. He was a Chicago Bears fan.
Donald was also an avid gun lover. He loved to go out hunting and shooting. He also loved to go out fishing.

Jessica (Jeremy) Junttonen of Minnesota
And numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
